The NanoWave is a highly compressible and lightweight bag which sits in Marmot's synthetically insulated range of sleeping bags, meaning unlike down it will stay warm even while wet.
The bag is insulated with Marmot's own Spirafill High Loft insulation, an ultra light material designed to pack down nice and small while still being warm enough for two season adventures. It's extremely compressible, stays warm when wet and is ideal for backpacking, cycle touring and any activity which requires a low pack size and weight. This insulation tends to be a little more durable than down too as it won't poke through the fabric.
Marmot feature their 3D hood and anatomically shaped hood construction to create a haven of insulated warmth in the areas where you lose the most heat. This construction allows these two areas to be warmer as the insulation is closer, but also means the bag can pack up slightly smaller as there is less fabric. The footbox construction mimics how your feet are positioned when you sleep, therefore more fabric is positioned above to make the NanoWave that bit more comfortable.
A snagless draft tube blocks small gusts of air from entering the bag. A zip on it's own won't be particularly wind or water resistant, therefore a small insulated cover (appropriately named the Draft Tube) stops the air entering, keeping you warmer. Two external hang loops allow you to hang the bag up after it's been drenched, while a two way YKK zipper lets you unzip from the bottom or the top of the bag.
The 'J' shaped zip that runs the entire way down the side of the bag and around the foot area allows you to unzip the bag and use it as a blanket; ideal for those hotter months or if you're with another person attempting to cut down on pack size.
